Please Watch Video
This video is a really good test for Christians to see where your heart is at and to see if you are producing the fruits of the Spirit . . . love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness and self control.
In the video a policeman got overpowered and handcuffed to a pole and left there. The man who is taking the video thinks it is funny. I personally think it is sad, disturbing and just plain wrong. If I was there I would immediately go up to the policeman and ask him how I can help him. I cannot stand to see people suffer in any way. Maybe he is a really bad policeman and maybe he will arrest me as soon as he can or maybe even kill me if he had a chance. None of that worries me because for Christians, to die is gain. People are so afraid of being hurt or dying. People are so worried about what is in it for them in the short term and the long term. This is the behavior I expect out of the lost, but there are many Christians who would think this video is funny and would not help this policeman. If this is how you feel then you need to inspect your fruit, because if you think this video is funny then you are missing the most important fruit you must have . . . love. You are also missing kindness and goodness and you will have to answer for it one day.
I heard a testimony awhile back where in the 1500's Christians were being hunted down and persecuted by the Jesuits/Catholics. A Jesuit was on a horse and was hunting down a Christian man. The Jesuit fell off his horse and ended up in quicksand. He started crying out for help and the Christian man heard him and had mercy on him and pulled him out of the quicksand. Then the Jesuit arrested the Christian man and tortured him and killed him. The Christian man did everything God expected him to do according to scripture . . . love your enemies and do good to those who hate you. (Luke 6:27) Unless the Jesuit repented for being a murderer, then he is probably in hell screaming and burning now for the past 500 years. God takes His revenge on the wicked, so we don't have to.
It is important we love our enemies and do good to them and be more concerned about them and not worry about ourselves. God takes good care of His children.
